Helping Kids Find their Power

Connecting through play

1

Connection & Emotional Regulation

Is your child struggling to feel calm, connected, or in control of their emotions and body?

We help children develop the tools to steady their minds and regulate their bodies through sensory integration and nervous system support—building a foundation for resilience and growth.

2

Physical Development

Is your child having difficulty with coordination, strength, or keeping up physically with peers?

Our programs help kids build grounded, capable bodies through purposeful movement – enhancing strength, stability, and control from the inside out.

3

Learning through Play & Executive Function Support

Is your child having trouble with focus, problem-solving, or completing tasks independently?

We use movement, play, and personalized strategies to support executive function and learning—empowering kids to explore their potential with joy and confidence.

“Lindy is thoughtful, kind, and takes her work incredibly seriously. She is always expanding her already endless pool of knowledge, and has been both a wonderful OT for both our kids, as well as a great partner in the work for us parents. Both our girls made tremendous progress under her care and guidance, and we could not recommend her any more highly.”

FAQs

What makes The Joffe Approach different from traditional occupational therapy?

The Joffe Approach is integrative and human-centered. While we build essential skills, our focus goes deeper—helping each child connect with their core self. We break down the silos between sensory, social-emotional, and executive functioning systems, treating them as a woven network, not isolated challenges. Our four pillars—Connection, Community, Learning, and Play—guide everything we do.

How do you support children with regulation challenges (emotional, behavioral, or sensory)?

We help children learn to steady their minds and calm their bodies using a regulation-first approach. Through sensory integration, relational support, purposeful play, and productive struggle, we help them understand and respond to their internal experiences, leading to more peace, confidence, and readiness for learning.

Will my child “grow out” of this?

While every child is different, early struggles often persist without support. Kids tend to grow into these challenges—not out of them—developing short-term workarounds that can lead to long-term difficulties. The Joffe Approach offers early support that eases pressure and opens the door to joyful, confident learning.
